LaceyMay's Haberdashery

# March Meet the maker
This is a new thing I’m going to try and do this year there are many march makers.
So brand introduction LaceyMays Haberdashery. A brief explanation of the brand name Lacey as I used to sell lace. The business was started in the month of May and I need you to find a name. SO this is when Laceymays Was born. The word Haberdashery was added when I did a branding course at the Local University. Recently I have done a video explaining my branding name in more depth so you could pop along and watch it on my IGTV laceymays_haberdashery

Did you know that March is Craft Month? 🎨

Craft Month was created back in 1994 by the Craft and Hobby Association. Intended to help everyone rediscover the joy of crafting, it's a month that’s all about learning new crafts, finding a new favourite handy hobby or perhaps revisiting a hobby you used to love back in the day.

How are you getting crafty this month? Are you thinking about starting a new craft? Are you looking forward to trying a workshop, ot getting back to going to events and having a go? Send us photos of your craft projects and we'll share them!

We are having an event on our website all month to help celebrate. 10% off when you spend a minimum of £10 or over. Use code crafty10

This week we have heard that the Festival of Quilts shall be happening in 2021. The date shall be 29th July to 1st August. The show shall be in 4 halls to allow more space but no more traders or quilts. They are also talking about extended hours and time entrance. And of course extra cleaning shall be in put in place. Which are all very sensible and think would be following the guide line, even though we are officially (if the science allows). This could be something that all events this year may have to do to allow us all to get back and out to the events that we love.

Is this something you would consider attending this year, not necessarily Festival of Quilts, maybe smaller local events to feel your feet and slowly get back to normal.

Or are you waiting until the Government releases us, before making any plans.

Or are you waiting to be able to go back to your quilting, sewing, crafting, or knitting groups. Mainly just to chat to someone who love the same craft as you.

Eliminates the smell of fox poo off of your dogs coat after they've been rolling in it too. Always carry a cafe sachet in my dog bag 😉

Scissors have a world of superstition attached to them. It’s considered very bad luck to:

Drop scissors (especially if they stick in the floor)
Leave scissors with the blades open
Have scissors come apart during use
Give or receive scissors as a gift (the same superstition applies to give and receiving knives)
Open and close scissors during a wedding – the groom will become impotent (African superstition)
Use scissors on New Year’s Day

Some strange facts for you
