My First Workshop
Well what an amazing experience with my first three day nationally know crafting come quilting event.
I wouldn’t been able to cope with the days without the assistant of my friend Chris. Who I think loved every minute. And is keen to join me next year.
We are talking if course about the Craft4crafters at the Bath and West showground near Shepton Mallet in somerset. The adventure started on Tuesday afternoon when we picked up the hire van. They didn’t have anything I ordered a normal everyday medium van. Only a huge sprinter long wheel base one. I could probably put my little car in it twice with room to spare it was so large.
As you can see from the photo the stock really didn’t fill the van lol. Or it was our excellent packing skills.
The rain stopped just in time for us to unload the van upon our arrival. We paced ourselves and took 6 hours to set up the stall. I must admit I was very proud of Chris and myself with our result.
The 3 days soon zoomed passed meeting lots of craft minded people and we both learnt a lot from them and we where able to help people out with there questions and queries.
Sadly Saturday arrived all to quickly and at the end of the day we where already packing up to come home. A huge thank you to Sharon from Seahorse Quilting and her husband Tony for helping us loading the van back up. We arrived home a few hours earlier than I first thought which was a bonus.
Already it’s been a week has gone by and we have completed our lastest event at St George’s church, not only taking some of the shop for the lovely ladies to have a look at but I also took my first workshop using the new MultiPom frame which you can make up to 20 pompom at once. No more card board circles, plastic rings or forks to make them.
A few pictures of the calm before the storm and another of what i had made to given them all an idea of what could be done with a pompom. Everyone seems to enjoy themselves and all walked away with 2 different type of pompom figures with different hats and hopefully lots of idea to continue there collection of figures. Looking forward to seeing what I they make when we return back in February
The frames shall be on our website at a price of £13.99. Shortly
Have a great sewing week
