Where did this year go.. We have been so busy with different events we have not had a chance to blog about the last event before I need to get ready for the next event. So last week was my last event Dorst Arts and Craft Association  19 in Wimborne. Now I have a few weeks t to catch up on all the social media with the help of my new VA Jenny,  paper work and updating on the website  www.laceymays.co.uk   Let’s start from the beginning of what we at LaceyMays Haberdashery have been up to. While all that was happening LaceyMays has been in her new home for almost a year now. She is enjoying the space and expanding slowly over the last months.  So if there is something that you can’t see then please get in contact with us and we shall try and source the items and maybe shall stock the item so next time you need it your know where to come. We try to add new products all the time and expand our range. Upcoming events Ardingly Embroidery day July, Dorset Arts & Crafts 5 Day event at Wareham August , Happy Patchers Quilt Exhibition 1 August, Canford needlework fiesta, September, Area 3 quilting Day at Brockenhurst, Craft4Crafters Autumn Quilt – Shepton Mallet  October A time for Quilters Hamworthy Club November Finally was DACA WImborne Craft Fair All where all fun days or day and meeting lots of lovely craft people some requesting some items which we have been able to source for item at a great price. The shop is still going well and they have extended the selling area which is great. We are looking at expanding the range of lines that we already sell there. All there is need to do is wish you  a safe and happy festive season and New Year

On a personally note some of you shall already know this as you may of you follow my personal Facebook page. That I joined Slimming World back in January this year. As I wanted to do something for me and it also helped improve my energy and health. It was a brand new group which I thought would be good as we where all new to the new lifestyle. I set a target well 4 targets since I started and have been at my last one since last November so very happy Ive been at target for a year. S i am going to enjoy this Christmas but not go wild with too much Christmas goodies or chocolate.  Ive got two dinner to attend this week along so its going to be difficult but we shall have fun.

I have also moved house during the year so settling in a new place, ready for new adventures in 2020.

Wow what a busy but great few weeks we have had. We enjoyed our weekend away to join The Quirky Quilters Group for their two day exhibition. With a stunning range of different quilts. We have shown a picture of the room of quilts. There where several other stalls apart from us attending to add to the whole weekend. With Fabric, leather wool and applique templates or bunting etc as well as a raffle, sale table and a demo table of sashiko, EPP, and skills on a sewing machine It was very busy all weekend and we met some lovely people.

On our return we had a quick repack for an evening at Happy Patchers Quilting Group as they had an open evening with special guest Wendy Gardiner who wrote the last The Greatest Sewing Bee Book. Another great evening, Tuesday was to repack again and get ready for Wednesday afternoon were we spent at Sturminster Marshall Craft fair at the village hall.

The following weekend was a busman holiday I along with my friend and craft demonstrator Karen Clare we helped out our friend Angela Dearlove with her first big show at Create It in Kent with her Whimsical houses, which have been on Hochanda ans going to be on there again in July along with make and takes and workshops. It was a great show and we all enjoyed the experience.

We have some exciting new here at LaceyMays Haberdashery but it shall have to wait till next time as we need to get items complete and the pictures taken to show off our new project.

Meanwhile have a great crafty bank holiday weekend if your not working.
